Product Description:

ESCAT 22 is a powder coating additive capable of improving the mechanical and solvent resistance properties of matte polyester powder coatings cured with the Isocryl matting hardeners EP-550, EP-560 and EP-570. The product should be used at a start point concentration of 10% based on the acrylic matting hardener content.

ESCAT 22 is provided as a free-flowing powder which is convenient in handling, easy to disperse and reliable in performance. The additive should be dry-blended with other coating ingredients in a high intensity mixer and then homogenized in a heated extruder. The premix is an essential step in achieving the best performance from this additive. For each new formulation, an individual laboratory test is highly recommended to determine the optimum concentration of the additive and processing conditions of the powder coating.
