Product Description:

Isocryl® EP-461 is a solid, glycidyl-functional acrylic binder resin which can be cured with carboxyl or amine functional curatives to provide coatings with a high degree of outdoor durability. For example, Isocryl EP-461 can be cured with dodecanedioic acid to make a smooth, clear, high-gloss coating with excellent durability.

Formulations utilizing Isocryl EP-461 do not require additional flow control additives. Isocryl EP-461 as supplied contains the ideal level of flow control agent required for optimal flow and appearance. The flow control agent contained in Isocryl EP-461 is based on Resiflow PL-200, an industry standard for clear powder coatings. By supplying the Isocryl EP-461 with pre-dispersed flow control agent, any negative effects from silica are avoided.

As with any raw material, laboratory evaluation is required for each formulation to determine the best processing method and the optimum concentration of Isocryl EP-461.
