Product Description:

Adheron™ TR-200 is a breakthrough epoxy toughening resin based on patent pending copolymer technology. The acrylic co-polymer backbone enhances fracture toughness, peel strength and side impact resistance of bonded joints and is fully crosslinked into the matrix network. Based on the chemical nature of the advanced acrylic – epoxy resin, the polymer forms low Tg inclusions on the nanometer scale to pin cracks as they form when the joint is subjected to loads including peel, impact and vibration. The acrylic copolymer backbone reduces stiffness of the cured epoxy resin, making it more resistant to cracking and improving its ability to deform under stress. Adheron TR-200 is ideal for land transportation applications where vibration, torsion, and 3-dimensional stresses may occur over a wide temperature range. The acrylic rubber copolymer backbone has superior weathering resistance including UV and ozone resistance than elastomers based on 1,3 butadiene and offers safer handling and reduced worker exposure as compared to polymers based on 1,3 butadiene.

Recommendation for Use

  • Epoxy Adhesives
  • Coatings
