Resiflow L-39S

esiflow® L-39 and L-39S are low molecular weight acrylic polymers for use in coil, roll, extrusion, general industrial and UV coatings to reduce surface defects such as pinholes and craters by facilitating air release.

The recommended usage level for Resiflow L-39 is between 0.2 – 1.5wt% of the binder resin.

Resiflow L-39S is a solution of Resiflow L-39 in a solvent blend of Xylene and Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether Acetate. Resiflow L-39S provides for easier handling and mixing. The recommended usage level is between 0.2 – 2.0wt% of the binder resin.

Formulators should ensure homogeneous dispersion and optimize the usage level to achieve the target performance requirements. Blending of 1.0 – 15.0wt% benzoguanamine resin with Resiflow L-39S will promote graffiti resistance, stain resistance and gloss in polyester, acrylic and alkyd bake coatings.

Laboratory evaluation is recommended for each formula variation to determine the best processing method and the optimum concentration of Resiflow L-39 or Resiflow L-39S.
