Resiflow PH-240

Resiflow PH-240 is a specialty powder flow control agent that is based on a hydroxyl functional polymer that has been converted into free-flowing powder by adsorption onto silica-type carrier. Resiflow PH-240 belongs to the reactive group of Resiflow flow and leveling agents. It can impart increased surface polarity, improve intercoat adhesion and wetting on hydrophilic substrates such as sandblasted or unpolished metal, as well as improving or eliminating surface defects including orange peel, pinholes and craters. Resiflow PH-240 is added at the premix stage with the other powder coating raw materials. The active ingredient is released and homogenized with the other components during extrusion, and this results in a uniform system. Typical dosages range from 0.7-1.5% based on total formulation weight, and as with any raw material, laboratory evaluation is required for each formulation to determine the best processing method and the optimum concentration of the additive. It is highly recommended to also test compatibility and recoat adhesion.
