The product is based on a liquid acrylic polymer that has been converted into free-flowing powder by adsorption onto silica-type filler. Surface defects such as orange peel, craters, pinholes, and other imperfections can be reduced or eliminated by incorporating 0.7-1.5% of Resiflow PL-330 into powder coating formulations. For best results, the Resiflow PL-330 should be dry-blended with other coating raw materials, then homogenized in a heated extruder. As with any raw material, laboratory evaluation is required for each formulation to determine the optimum concentration of the flow additive, best processing method, suitability for the application and other specific requirements such as recoatability.
